The 2015 Rugby World Cup is coming to Devon.

Here at Fridgerate WE LOVE RUGBY! As a new business we are always on the look out for great events to take our Refrigerated Trailers to and in 2015, Devon will see the Pinnacle of The Rugby World fall upon our very own Sandy Park.

The Match Schedule will see 25 matches played in dedicated rugby venues, seven in multi-event stadia and 16 in football venues. This blend of stadia will provide a variety of Rugby World Cup match-day experiences and over two million opportunities for fans to engage with one of the world’s most recognisable major sports events.

There are three games being played at the premiership Rugby ground Sandy Park which is expecting and additional 33,000 spectators.  To kick things off Tonga take on Namibia on Tuesday, September 29th. After which Namibia and Georgia tackle one another 7th October ; with the final fixture on Sunday October 11th featuring Italy Vs Romania. For all those supporters who missed out on Sandy Park tickets, we are in Luck! Exeter council will have a 6,000 person FanZone set up in the Northernhay gardens. It will be used on match days, and possibly other days, during the World Cup and is expected to attract an additional 120,000 visitors to the city.

The FanZone will feature a large stage and screen with bars, food outlets and promotional activity. For Businesses in the South West there is a fantastic opportunity here. If you are thinking of tendering for the FanZone then we would love to hear from you for all your refrigeration needs.

With a huge number of visitors to the county there are many opportunities for small businesses.  The council has approved expenditure up to a total of £300,000 to support the city’s preparation for and delivery of its responsibilities as a host city.

Organisers estimated that Exeter being a host city will generate an extra £39m of economic activity through the tournament. Fridgerate are one of these businesses and are planning to be at the FanZone providing Refrigerated Trailers to food and drink outlets.
